Well-being and Mindfulness at Darlinghurst
We support our children's mental well-being, increasing their emotional resilience. An early introduction into mindfulness can really help our child manage their own emotions and understand the emotions of others. We encourage the simple acts of being present in the moment and paying attention to our thoughts and feelings.

At Darlinghurst we raise awareness through our daily ethos, routines, assemblies and lessons. At Darlinghurst we encourage children's natural curiosity and engagement, developing them as mindful citizens.
In KS1 we are introducing Mindful Monsters
Children and teachers use inspired activities focusing on concentration, being positive, being creative and the value of quiet time.
Mindful Monsters supports 'Scope'. Scope is a charity that provides support and advice to disabled people and their families, which helps to build resilience.
In KS2 we are focused on the well-being of each individual and the well-being of others in our school community and beyond.
We focus on five areas:
