Duck Update

3rd August 16

What an eventful couple of weeks we have had at Darlinghurst. At the beginning of last week we had seven eggs arrive tucked up in an incubator. The children and adults waited eagerly for any sign of movement or cracks to appear. After what seemed like an eternity each egg started to develop a small bump surrounded by cracks.

With a watchful eye from Wolf class the children were lucky enough to see three ducklings hatch during the school day with the others hatching overnight. We now have 5 new additions to our Darlinghurst family.

A huge thank you to Miss Arnold and Mrs Hydes for organising this truly special and memorable experience for our children and to Wolf class for taking great care of the eggs during the hatching period.

We look forward to watching them grow and move to their duck house by the pond.
