Outdoor Learning 21st September

3rd August 16

The children were looking at different materials around the school and why objects or structures are made of a particular material. They were tasked to find objects made out of wood, plastic, metal  and then to explain why they thought the object or structure was made of this material.

We were very lucky to speak to the Project Manager who is building our new classrooms who showed us lots of different materials that our school extension is being built from. The children asked lots of different questions.

They were then asked, in groups, to build waterproof houses out of plastic, wood, paper and stone to try and keep their cork people dry.
